I thought this picture was cool, and it reminds me of my background picture. This was taken as we began to land in Japan.
I was excited when I saw my room number was above the other room numbers (23).
One of the three hotel rooms I stayed in throughout the week.
Picture of our corporate headquarters in Japan.
Everything is so much smaller in Japan.
Traffic is crazy!
This is a cemetery in Kyoto. It was huge, so many people.
Golden Temple, walls are all painted with Gold.
Closer view of the Temple.
Don't quite remember where this was, but they have ponds and things like this everywhere.
Japanese Beer.
Japanese Dinner. Lets just say the Chubster lost a couple pounds on this trip.
One of my favorite pictures. This reminded me of a movie for some reason.
These kids were at the temple we were visiting.
This picture intrigued me. I was/am not too familiar with Chinese history, but this is two of China's great leaders painted together although they never lived in the same time at once.
One of my hotel rooms in Taiwan.
Another hotel room. Sorry, I was amazed with the hotel rooms and how nice they were.
I tried to get a picture of Kyoto's sky line. There are a building codes that prohibit anyone from building anything over 8 stories tall. The Japanese believe that the sky line is too beautiful to ruin with tall buildings.
This Temple was literally built on the side of this huge mountain.
Another Temple.
A roof top shot.
The subway, Madness!
Everywhere you look in Taiwan people are rolling in Scooters!
Now this temple was by far the most memorable. Some sort of prayer time was going on when we arrived and it was just crazy.
Everywhere you looked people were offering food to the gods.
There were a lot of these smokers everywhere to warrant off bad spirits and to cleanse the soul.
I got a full body massage here (no Husky no happy ending).
My mini bar in Taiwan.
Literally we were asked to choose our Dinner from here. Not from a menu, but from the aquariums you see. Like I said before I lost some weight on this trip.
One of the restaurants we had dinner at.
This was cool.....they had the flags of all the "mother land countries" of all the guests at the table, and when they saw me they brought out a Mexico Flag. I thought it was cool.
One of the shots they do in Taiwan actually comes with a saladito.
Taiwanese Beer.
Taipei 101, when I took the picture it was the tallest building in the world.
I took this from the top of Taipei 101. It was extremely scary.
It was just crazy how high this building is.
This temple is in Taiwan.
This is the front of the temple (cool fact...I just googled Taipei to make sure I spell it correctly and this is one of the first pictures that pops up).
Of course, I had to take a pic of the sign on the back of the Taxi's seat.
Kyoto and Taipei were definitely awesome places to visit. I will say this though, Kyoto is a much smaller city and not a advanced as Taipei is. If you are looking for a quieter vacation Kyoto would be the place. If you are looking for a bigger/faster city vacation Taipei may be a better option. Not sure where I will be taking you next, but I am sure you will enjoy it.
See ya!
